A
few
things to consider when selecting a financial planner are
areas of specialization, credentials or professional
designations, fees and commissions.
I am here for
the average working
family. I
will help you develop a course of action to invest in your
future and the future of your family. I will provide
references upon request. My credentials include designation as
a Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist,
Certified Financial Planner and Registered Investment Advisor.
As a CPA, many
clients ask me about various types of investments
and if they should invest in a particular stock or mutual
fund. As their tax professional, I didn't feel qualified to
give that type of advice, so I suggested a Financial Advisor.
Over the years, I observed that the term "Financial
Advisor" is used by many different types of people. Many
are sales people with no credentials,
that sell proprietary products that may not be appropriate or
"best" for their client. Some are more interested in
the commission they would receive rather than the value they
should be providing. As a result of this observation, I became
convinced that I could provide that service for my clients.
After earning
the credentials that I feel are important to do a better job,
I promised
myself that I would put the client first and provide value
beyond what I am paid. Since making this decision thirteen
years ago, I have had the privilege and satisfaction of making
a difference in the lives of many of those who have put their
trust in me. As their partner,
I have educated and guided them in the very important
financial decisions facing everyone today...from educating
their children or grandchildren, planning a comfortable
retirement and preparing for long-term care needs.
Please call or
e-mail me for an appointment. My
business hours are from Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to
5:00 pm. I am located in Clear Lake, just southeast of
Houston, Texas at 16850
Royal Crest Drive. Click here for a map.
